What is Recruiter Lite?

Recruiter Lite is the entry version of LinkedIn's hiring product, aimed at solo recruiters, founders, and small teams. Compared with a free account it adds recruiting-specific search filters, projects for organizing candidates into pipelines, saved searches with alerts, and a monthly InMail allowance for contacting candidates directly. Compared with full LinkedIn Recruiter, the corporate product, Lite is meaningfully narrower: its search reaches only your own network out to third-degree connections rather than the full member base, it comes with fewer InMails and filters, and it lacks enterprise features such as deep ATS integrations and team collaboration. That trade-off suits occasional hiring, while high-volume or niche searching tends to outgrow it quickly. For candidates, the practical meaning is simply that recruiters on these tools find people through keyword and filter searches, which is one more reason profile fields such as headline, title, and skills should state plainly what you do, in the words the market uses for it.
