What is LinkedIn Headline?
The line under your name that follows you across LinkedIn search, comments, and invites, and doubles as key search text.
Your headline is the line of text under your name, shown nearly everywhere you appear on LinkedIn: search results, connection requests, comments, and invitations. It currently allows up to 220 characters, and it doubles as heavily weighted search text, so the words in it affect whether recruiters and prospects find you at all. The default behavior, letting it read as your current job title at your current employer, wastes the space. A stronger pattern states who you help, what outcome you deliver, and the role or proof that backs it, in plain words a searcher would actually type. Avoid buzzword pileups such as visionary, guru, and passionate, along with vague labels that match no real search. Because only the first few dozen characters show in tight spaces like comments, put the load-bearing words first.
